Parvin Arasteh has dedicated herself for the past 15 years to empowering Iranian women and helping Iranian students achieve their educational ambitions. This work was carried out within an informal structure until recently. In 2009 she established the P. Arasteh Charity in Iran which provides funding and assistance to economically disadvantaged students to pursue their university education. Her extensive philanthropic activities have also included the establishment and construction of primary schools, high schools and departments of a number of institutions of higher learning.
Leyla Mostafavi has received her J.D. from the University of Ottawa, her Master’s degree from the London School of Economics, and her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto. She brings with her a strong interest in Iranian history and art, sensitivity to diverse cultures and communities, and a passion for education.
Hoda Gerami is a Sr. Product Manager at Amazon, where she works on the future of Amazon warehouse technologies for emerging markets. She received her MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business and has her bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Finance from the University of Toronto. She has 5+ years of experience being an active member of the youth committee of different charitable organizations in Tehran, Toronto, and Chicago.
Homayoon Majd is currently the Vice President of Primex World, Inc. In that capacity, he manages all aspects of pistachio farming operations, real estate development projects, and philanthropic initiatives. Homayoon Majd holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has been a registered Professional Engineer in the State of California since 1982 and holds a State of California Real Estate Broker License.
